YES YOU.
Yes this is a real proposal.
No I am not messing with you.
Yes, the entire blogosphere was involved in your proposal.
Because I love you THAT MUCH.

Please leave your answer in the comments below and/or my Facebook wall. But not e-mail. That is just too impersonal (oh sarcasm).
Are you smiling?
Are you discomboobulated?
Are you screaming?
Take a deep breath.
Hey, you know that giant pile of laundry?
The one on the chair.
Why not take a look under it.
NOW!
I will wait here.
Go on. Go look.
YOU NEED TO CALL ME NOW!
"Oh Serendipity. So glad...I found you."

To all the readers who are NOT MommiePie... Thank you for participating in Proposal 2.0!
The first ever (according to my limited skills as an internet researcher) blog proposal. I guess that makes Mr. Linky the best man!

Please leave a comment below, and include a little bit of wedding/marriage advice if you can. If you were in on this from the beginning- include the link to the blog post you wrote (the same one you left with Mr. Linky on The Glamorous Life Association). Haven't done that yet? Well write a post about wedding/marriage and link it up here.

She said YES!!!!!

Oh wow!! Congratulations!! It is so wonderful. Wedding advice - try not to get yourself worked up about the "prefect" day. It will be perfect no matter what - even if the florist brings the wrong flowers or the table cloths are not perfect. :) Here is my link about Hubby and me - http://ourlifeupstate.blogspot.com/2009/02/me-and-my-valentine.html
ReplyDeleteYou couldn't do any worse with him than with the crazy man I met at the insane asylum: http://litandlaundry.blogspot.com/2008/06/how-i-met-my-husband-at-insane-asylum.html
ReplyDeleteAh love! Technology helped me get my first date with the love of my life, makes sense that somebody use it to propose. I'm so excited for you!
Well, I guess you won't be my sister-in-law, Mommy Pie (RATS), but I'm SO glad I got to be a teeny-tiny part of your day.
ReplyDeleteMy advice is mostly HERE:
http://foolery.typepad.com/foolery/2009/03/the-two-greatest-piece-of-marital-advice-ever.html
but I will say this too: figure out what is the worst thing that could happen on your wedding day (I don't mean tragedy, just catastrophe) and decide ahead of time that you can work with it, no sweat. Visualize yourself getting married in jeans and still being thrilled. Then? No matter what happens? PIECE OF CAKE.
Much love,
Laurie : )
MommyPie and The Boy-
ReplyDeleteThis is so stinkin' cute!
Forever remember that you loved each other this passionately on this day!
My post again: http://headlessfamily5.blogspot.com/2009/03/proposal-20-headless-meeting.html
May God bless you two always!
My advice about treasuring love is here:
ReplyDeletehttp://elainaavalos.blogspot.com/2007/06/i-wanna-be-loved-like-that.html
Much love to you both! :)
ReplyDelete{high fives all around}
MommyPie and The Boy...much love and peace!Congratulations! Thanks for letting us all be a little part of the big day...
ReplyDeleteMy advice post- follow the link.
Blessings, Donna and Heather

Being married rules!
ReplyDeletehttp://elislids.blogspot.com/2007/01/our-wedding.html
Blessings to you!!
I have tears in my eyes...Darcy has been one of my best friends for almost 20 years. I lost her for awhile and now that I found her, I'm never going to let her go...and neither should you. I think it's safe to say "CONGRATULATIONS"..
ReplyDeleteCould this be any cuter?? What fun!
ReplyDeleteI have two bits of advice. One is from my mom who, as my own wedding approached, told me to not sweat the details - the most important thing about the big day is that you say I Do. The rest is just fluff.
The second comes with the gift of 15 years of marriage, and it occurred to me as I attended two weddings this past summer. The wedding is fun and it's the best party you'll ever throw, surrounded by all your favorite people, but after you pack away the gown and put the portraits in an album, you set to work on the marriage, and that's the really important part. It isn't always easy, but it's wonderful in more ways than you'll be able to count.
Best wishes to you!
Awwww, congratulations you two!
ReplyDeleteHere's my take on marriage!
Mommy Pie and The Boy
ReplyDeleteI'm so happy to be even a small part of today! I think this is one of the sweetest, most clever things I've ever seen. He's a keeper Mommy Pie! Congratulations! My advice is short and sweet:
http://www.meladramaticmommy.com/2009/03/promptuesday-i-asked-him-to-marry-me.html
How unbelievably sweet! May you two be happy together!
ReplyDeleteWhat do we call The Boy after tomorrow? Daddycake? Pa Pie? I need a name!
ReplyDeleteYou can get back to me, but meanwhile: YEAH!
Also, you're the type of together person I'd usually look to for advice, so it's semi-hilarious that I'm offering you any. Still, here it is.
Happy for you!
Awwwwww I think I am going to cry.
ReplyDeleteNo advice, just love, and this post which is dedicated to both of you.
http://abritandabit.typepad.com/spotted_dick_and_other_mu/2009/03/sometimes-all-it-takes-is-a-lighthouse-.html
Auds at Barking Mad!
This is beyond the wonderful. Congrats to you guys.
ReplyDeleteHere's the post I linkied up, it's an oldie about my sugar daddy:
http://amyinohio.wordpress.com/2008/07/08/thats-a-major-appliance-thats-not-a-name/
Um, this is so awesome that I almost can't stand it.
ReplyDeleteWhat an amazing man, to think this up and get it done! I love it!
Congratulations to an amazing couple. My advice? Just love each other. Be yourselves. Leave this blog up forever so you can come back and look at it. Spend time together. Trust each other, do things your own way, and take other people's advice with a grain of salt - you guys know what is right for your family (Mommypie, this totally includes the wedding - your day, your way!).
YAY!
This is so lovely. How very 2009 of you. Happy for you both.
ReplyDeleteCongrats to you both - I am SOOO happy for you!!
ReplyDeleteMy advice is simply to love each other fully, always be kind, say thank you for the little things and never part without a kiss! Nothing is too big to get through if you have each other.
I am so glad you two found each other after all these years! It's the way it was supposed to be.
Congratulations! Married life is the best adventure I've ever had!
ReplyDeleteMy advice was given to me by my mom before I got married, almost 8 years ago. My then-fiance and I were a little concerned because we knew so many people who were head over heels in love, got married and then got divorced only a couple of years later. Her advice was to never consider divorce as an option (obviously in the case of abuse, it might have to be an option, but I'm assuming that that won't be the case for you two).
She said that if you look at your marriage as lasting rather than saving a way out through divorce, you will be more invested to work out your differences and more motivated to look for and enjoy the good parts of married life.
I AM CRYING!!!!!!!!! I TOTALLY GASPED when I read MommyPie's name!!!!!!!!!! I am so beyond happy...I've never even met MommyPie and I'm sitting here CRYING!!!!
ReplyDeleteHANDS DOWN...Best Proposal EVER!
Congratulations!
ReplyDeleteMarriage advice, given to me by someone wiser and much longer married: When you're wrong, admit it. When you're right, shut up.
I rarely succeed in this, but it's a worthy goal.
Congratulations!! How genius to make all of us a part of the proposal!
ReplyDeleteMarriage advice? Nah. Life advice? Sure. The best piece of advice I got was from a friend of my sister's on her wedding day. It is: Never pass up the opportunity to pee.
It's served me well over the years.
Good luck to both of you!
congrats to you! We always live by "the couple that plays together stays together." We love games of any sort. Another helpful hint: expectations ruin relationships. Always keep in mind that everyone has expectations all the time. unless you talk about them, you can't be mad if they're not met. Blessings!
ReplyDeleteSo super sweet.
ReplyDeleteThis proposal proves he is perfect for ya...
*I am having a Hallmark card commercial moment*
*wiping tears*
*deep sigh*
Congratulations!
My advice is to play nice. always.
It's a sign of something that I wrote a bittersweet entry about my marriage today, hours before I got the e-mail in my inbox about this. I debated about linking it, because isn't this supposed to be nothing but joy joy joy?
ReplyDeleteAnd yes. But no. Because marriage for real people is sometimes bittersweet. So I'm gonna go link it up anyway. Because my marriage advice is this: you are both going to change. Just make sure you change compatibly.
(I don't give wedding advice. My whole wedding cost $3,000, so what do I know?)
This proves The Boy totally gets Mommy Pie. You guys are a perfect match. Thanks so much for including us! Congratulations! I know she said yes!
ReplyDeleteHUGE props to Marcy at The Glamorous Life for pulling this off!! And I'm commenting twice because I voted twice --
ReplyDeleteBECAUSE I GOT AWAY WITH IT, DAMMIT.
Hurry up and find this, I'm hyperventilating here. : ) MWAHH!
I'm with Foolery on this. I have a stomach ache out of sheer anticipation. Well, or it could have been the Tofu hotdogs I tried for the first time today. Either way, this is wicked-exciting. I can only imagine how the boy must be feeling right about now.
ReplyDelete*big hugs*

ReplyDeleteThis is killing me.
ReplyDeleteWaiting for an answer. Have heard wonderful things about Mommypie. Think the Boy is wonderful.
ReplyDeleteSigned: The Boy's Mommy.
Ugh. The waiting and waiting.....
ReplyDeleteThanks to all who have participated. Just wanted to let you know it is now 3:04pm PST and STILL she doesn't KNOW!!!!!!!!!!!
Who knew? Bloggers actually CAN keep a secret!
As soon as she answers (um, god-willing it will be YES) I will post it here and on The Glamorous Life Association site. And possibly sky writing....
:)
Oh The Boy, I knew you were the one! I adore me some Mommy Pie and wish you guys all the best. Congratulations!
ReplyDeleteI put up a post because this is such a fun idea at http://melodygibbons.com. But since then I thought of another bit of advice. It's okay to go to bed mad. Yes I said it. Being mad is part of being human but you must be reasonable and willing to continue working in resolving your issues in the morning.
ReplyDeleteOh and if you want to get married quickly but still in a fairly traditional venue consider getting married on a Sunday. It opens up doors previously closed.
I keep coming back, and it's almost 4:00. I am SO GLAD that I knew nothing about this until late this morning, and was out of the house or I would be obsessively refreshing here & at Mr. Linky to read people's posts and see what was going on. I just re-read the proposal and started crying because I am a sad sappy sucker. Also, I couldn't help but write a post...
ReplyDeletehttp://www.snotw.com/2009/03/day-by-day.html
Update: 4:05
ReplyDeleteSTILL she doesn't know.
She doesn't know we are all sitting aorund waiting for her to click over.....
Waiting is SO not my thing! And The Boy? He LOVES waiting.......
This is too tense for me.
I think I need a drink.

ReplyDeleteOh, dearest MommyPie, we are all DYING over here waiting for you to find this, so that we can start celebrating with you, for you, around you, surrounding you. I am sooo happy for you.
ReplyDeleteI'll have to think about the marriage advice a little bit, though I can tell you this about weddings: don't be your own chef for the event if you are inviting 100+ people. It's a lot of work. :)
What an incredible, romantic, 2009 kind of way to propose! I love it!! I hope she says yes.
ReplyDeleteI've been married almost 25 years and the best advice I can give is to keep communicating, keep laughing, keep making time for dates...Never take each other for granted! God bless you both!
5:00 pacific and we're still waiting.
ReplyDeleteOh, and how dense am I? I JUST got the laundry in the chair part.
Duh.
Its 8:01 PM EST and whilst I've managed to poison myself with tofu hot dogs that either went bad, or were just a mistake to begin with, I swear, I'll take the laptop into the loo with me.
ReplyDeleteJeepers.
lol@ Headless mom's comment about the laundry in the chair.
Now THIS is fanfuckingtastic. I am crying over here! I hope this means that MP is still available to be my little Deal's wife one day.
ReplyDeleteMuch love and laughter to you!
And here's the story of my engagement...that is so freaking lame compared to this! http://www.dirtandnoise.com/2009/03/500-fridays_13.html
UPDATE: 5:19pm
ReplyDeleteI just sent an email to Mommypie asking/begging for her to link snything up for my 'propsal linky'. I made it look like it went to tons of bloggers...and that I was just desperate to get the link numbers up!!!!
Could be ANY MINUTE NOW!
UGH!
ReplyDeleteThe Boy says she is proably giving MP a bath now. And she won't get back to blogs for another 20 minutes!!!
Have ya'all started drinking yet? The suspense is killing me! SO MUCH planning....and now just WAITING......
*tapping fingers on desk*
ReplyDeleteBelieve me Marcy, if I could keep it down, I'd not have just a glass of wine sitting next to me, but the ENTIRE BOTTLE! *lol*
My advice would have to be (cliche warning!) never go to bed angry. And don't sweat the small stuff. Seriously? Socks on the floor? It could be so much worse.
ReplyDeleteCan't wait til you find this!
Oh My Goodness! No stinkin way!
ReplyDeleteI can't believe I get to watch this happen.
I wish nothing but the very best for you both.
LOVE. LOVE. LOVE.
ack, the suspense is killing me!!! marriage advice? talk it out... talk talk talk and don't stop until you both feel better.
ReplyDeleteBaited breath over here and I didn't even know about Mommypie until Jenny sent me over here. I'll sure be reading now!! ;)
ReplyDeleteThink we'll tip the site over? No one rush to one side all at the same time. ;)
ReplyDeleteVery sweet, I hope she says yes! :)
ReplyDeleteMinor note: not *exactly* the first blog proposal (see link below)
http://thepioneerwoman.com/photography/2009/03/about-actions/
Anything yet? Found this via The Bloggess and now the curiosity is getting the best of me. Congrats, and good luck to you both!
ReplyDeleteI know!! going nuts refreshing over here.
ReplyDeleteMarital advice.
Don't need to always be right.
Respect your differences
Give the other room to be themselves.
And laugh.. as often as possible.
Congrats - I'm so happy for you MommyPie!
ReplyDeletecongratulations Mommypie!
ReplyDeleteIt's almost 6:30 CA time!!!!!
ReplyDeleteHey Anonymous.
ReplyDeleteI was just informed of that fact this morning.
It is amazing how many bubble busters are named "Anonymous" on the Internet. Must be an old English name.....
But that one? Was done very very differently with much less effort and involvement.
This one is the first one that ROCKS.
:)
Okay, now I think they've each cracked a beer and are talking on the phone and watching us slam ourselves against the sides of our cage, laughing.
ReplyDeleteOr not.
Holy Moly....the suspense is killing me too. I feel like a stalker.
ReplyDeleteLive, Love, Laugh....and give God the glory.
Oh sweet Lord. My heart cannot take this waiting.
ReplyDeleteOh this is BEYOND BADASS!!!
ReplyDeleteMarcy - not only that, but I got an email from Mr. Dooce this afternoon, claiming that Dooce herself gets that title. Although, it was in the COMMENTS.
ReplyDeleteOh well, doesn't matter...THIS blog, in its entirety, was dedicated to the most awesome proposal ever! And that m'dears, is a first. A true first!
Still waiting out here in Maine. Downing ginger ale and Pepto, but I'm not going anywhere!
I about peed my pants reading this. HOW WONDERFUL!!!! Congrats!
ReplyDeleteThis is so cute. Congratulations!
ReplyDeleteAUDS!
ReplyDeleteDude.
Mr. Dooce?
Yeah they hate me because of this post anyway.
http://marcywrites.com/2008/08/25/dear-dooce/
Now I am sure to be black-balled from being in the cool group in Blogosphere High School.
I can not wait.
Very hard to wait.
I'm stepping away for dinner... don't do anything until I get back.
ReplyDeleteI'm with you San Diego Momma!
ReplyDeleteJeebus...I can barely contain myself....where is she???
ReplyDeleteThe suspense is not good for my heart. She probably took that big pile of laundry to the cleaners this morning and is now looking for a rock big enough to break the window.
ReplyDeleteWhat's the hit count doing, Marcy? Spinning like my electricity meter? ;)
ReplyDeleteI think maybe Foolery is onto something.
ReplyDeleteI think we're the ones being watched. *lol* I think MP and The Boy are having a grand ole time watching us wet ourselves in anticipation. *lol*
Or maybe not.
Now I'm going to have to stay here and keep refreshing the screen.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations! My advice would be to just remember why you got married and don't let the stressful stuff pull you down.
I'm usually wrong, Auds.
ReplyDeleteBTW, I think the finger I click the mouse with is developing a callous with all the refreshing I'm doing. Just sayin!
ReplyDeleteMaybe if we all think at once, "Go to proposalplan.blogspot.com, MommyPie!!!!, she will telepathically receive our message. How does 7PM PST sound?
ReplyDeleteSeriously?! I've been in #GNO for 15 minutes! This isn't funny anymore. Come out, come out whereever you Mommy Pie!
ReplyDeleteUh oh....premature Squeeeeee of excitement. I hate when that happens!
ReplyDeleteOkay I am walking around the house with my blackberry -which vibrates when I get an email and then I run back to my desk!
ReplyDeleteWe have confirmation.
SHE IS READING NOW!!!!!!!
I'm going to pee my pants if she doesn't hurry and get here! Can't stop refreshing to go.
ReplyDeleteLiterally clapping my hands in excitement
ReplyDeleteIts true Auds, Foolery is usually wrong.
ReplyDeleteFoolery...does that bode well or badly for this summer? *lol*
ReplyDeleteDang this waiting...my hubby says if I don't stop tapping my toes on the floor he's going to stand on them.
Squeeeeell!
ReplyDeleteCan we pop the champagne yet or what?!?!?!?!
ReplyDeleteAll I can think about is MP's "cliff jumping" post from the day after the election, now. Good GRIEF the waiting.
ReplyDeleteHoly schnikes!
ReplyDeleteI can't hold it anymore. Will be mopping the floor soon.
ReplyDeleteIt's been 10 minutes, please let us know your answer!!!! :-)
ReplyDeleteIf we have to wait much longer, I think someone ought to check on The Bloggess/Jenny and make sure her heart didn't give out from the waiting/anticipation. That and someone outta make sure Enchanted has a mop handy.
ReplyDeleteOH. MY. GOD.
ReplyDeleteI really should be leaving some hugely profound comment here, knowing this post will be recorded and kept forever, but all I can come up with is ...
YES.
YES.
YES!!!
If I could get the letters any bigger I would! If there were audio, you'd hear me laughing.
If there were video, you'd see me smiling from ear to ear.
I love you, I love you, I LOVE YOU Dave.
Yep. Soulmate.
Congrats!!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteYea!!!!!
ReplyDeleteCongrats!!!!!!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful!
ReplyDelete*SQUEAL* like a gaggle of 13 year old girls on the front row of a Jonas Brothers concert!!!
ReplyDeleteCONGRATULATIONS!
Ahhhhhhh!!!! Yay!!!!!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteYaaaaay!!! Congrats!!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteOh, thank you for saying YES.
ReplyDeleteExcuse, me. Gotta RUN!!!!!
Okay, NOW I can concentrate on WFMW.
ReplyDeleteThank God.
And congratulations!
GOOSE.BUMPS.
ReplyDeleteWOOT!!!
ReplyDeleteOh thank God. I can go make those pork chops now.
ReplyDeleteCongrats, MP!
Yayyyyyyyy!
ReplyDeleteNow where's my box of tissues. I think I'm going to cry.
Congratulations a million times over!
Congratulations! Now we all can breathe again. This is about the cutest thing ever.
ReplyDeleteI'M PASSING OUT THE GLASSES OF CHAMPAGNE!!!!!!!!!!!!!! YAY!!!!!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations!!
ReplyDeleteAww! Congrats to the both of you! This was so fun to watch. Best of luck to you both!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations! And thanks, Jenny, for linking to this!!!
ReplyDeleteWell....
ReplyDeleteI can say that this whole thing has been a huge adventure....and so honored to be involved in something so important in your life.
So glad you said Yes.
Cuz this would have been super awkward if you just typed "um, can I think about it?"
And Dave says I will be performing the ceremony too. But don't worry I won't be moving in with you guys.........right away that is.
:)
OH JOY.
Life is SO GOOD.
Well, this wine won't drink itself (unlike the gin) . . . congratulations, Mommypie and The Boy.
ReplyDeleteWarmly,
Laurie (with Smedley and Sparky in tow, and Gubby on the phone doing play-by-play)
Congratulations to you both. Or the 3 of you. The 5 of you? Whatever. Congratulations from Exile, from the bottom of our hearts.
ReplyDeleteMcMommy, we'll take 4, please.
It is so ridiculous that words on a computer screen could elicit first goosebumps, then tiny teardrops. So ridiculous and FLIPPIN SUH-WEET!!
ReplyDeleteCongrats you two beautiful people!
Well played, mister.
(Gawd I love the internet....)
Congratulations to the happy couple!
ReplyDeleteThis warmed my cold dead heart. And let me tell you, that's not easy to do.
Congratulations! and Awww!
ReplyDeleteThank God. May your marriage be filled with laughter and love. And every time you get so behind on washing clothes that your laundry basket runs over and fills the entire room you can tell your husband you did it for "sentimental reasons". God knows I will.
ReplyDeleteFinally! Yay! Good going!
ReplyDeleteCongrats! this is so very cute!!! :)
ReplyDeleteHow awesome! Congratulations!!
ReplyDeleteMay your life together be full of love and happiness :)
I'm back from dinner... did I miss anything? ;-)
ReplyDeleteI'm beyond happy fro you MP, this could not have happened to a cooler doog. Congratulations to all 3 of you.
CONGRATULATIONS!!!! Best of luck to you and yours!
ReplyDelete- Elaina
How freaking cute!!!!!!!! I LOVE it! By the far the best proposal EVER! :) Congratulations!
ReplyDeleteAmazing. I love it :-)
ReplyDeleteOh! I don't know you, haven't read your blogs, but *sniff* am SO HAPPY for you!!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations to you both!
ReplyDeleteWOW! What an amazingly cool proposal. Congrats to the happy couple!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations!!!!
ReplyDeleteMy advice on marriage: enjoy! It's wonderful. :)
Congrats.... My only point of advice after 7 years of marriage and getting married young(21) is remember the woman is ALWAYS right LOL
ReplyDeleteHow cool is this? Now that I've seen you make history, I'll have to go back and read your blogs to get to know you better... I already can tell you are soooo cute together! Congratulations to you both!
ReplyDeleteSo, marriage advice? Well, still together after 23 years, married 16 of them and two kids thrown into the mix... tell each other "I love you" everyday. I know it sounds corny, and I know you feel it, and you know it, but it's still great to hear it.
This was beyond wonderful...
Congrats!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteMy advice? Pick your battles. The little stuff will not matter 20 years from now but remembering all of the good times will. Let some of the fights be won by the other. Smile to yourself and save the anger for the big things!! Good Luck!
Waaaaaaahooooooo! Way Cool! Congrats! I hope we can all be a part of the ceremony! Just joking! Congrats! Cheers!
ReplyDeleteYea MommyPie and The Boy!!!
ReplyDeleteI'm thrilled that I was a teensy part of this-because the hugeness of your love is catching!
(slinking off to find Headless Dad now... ;-)
This is the sweetest thing EVER. Congrats! And ummm...I don't have any advice 'cause uhhh..I only know how things work in my world but it sounds like you're starting off on the right foot.
ReplyDeleteAwww...I'm tearing up a little bit.
Wooooo hooo! Congratulations!
ReplyDeleteThis is so cool. Congrats to you both. Wishing you a wonderful wedding and life together! : )
ReplyDeleteAHHHHHH congrats!
ReplyDeleteGrats to you both :) Now you will need to blog all the wedding plans, and have a vlog wedding. No pressure.
ReplyDeleteOh, boy! I came into this late and out of the loop but congratulations.
ReplyDeleteSeriously tearing up here.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations to you both!
Congratulations to all involved!! There's nothing better than the joining of soulmates! :)
ReplyDeleteMarcy, Marcy, Marcy. YOU, my dear, along with my amazing Dave are a true GENIUS.
ReplyDeleteWords can't convey how grateful I am for all the hard work you put into this. Because seriously? You've played a HUGE part in making this one of THE most memorable days of my life.
BIG BIG Xs and Os ...
I'm dumbfounded.
Congratulations to Mommy Pie and The Boy!
ReplyDeleteThis is beyond awesome. Marcy, you rock for helping do this.
ReplyDeleteNice job, all.
T.
Smiling...
ReplyDeleteI got married very young to the boy I fell for when I was 17.
30 years together, 27 of them married.
My advice? Expect things to change. The relationship you have now is not the relationship you'll have in five years, ten years, farther down the road. Look forward, not back. Embrace the changes. If you feel you've fallen out of love, be patient and wait, and you'll get to fall in love again.
I am so very happy! Why did I miss all this yesterday? So very happy.
ReplyDeleteThis is absolutely awesome. What a GREAT way to propose. Congratulations to you both!!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations!
ReplyDeleteAnd some advice: Be excellent to each other, and PARTY ON. Best advice anyone gave us on our wedding day, ten wonderful years ago.
How fabulous!! Congratulations <3
ReplyDeleteI cried when I read your YES. I am soooooo happy for you!! Congratulations.
ReplyDeleteI tried to play it cool all evening. Like, oh, I don't care what happens. It's their life.
ReplyDeleteBut what's the first thing I checked when I got to work this morning? Before e-mail or my own damn blog?
Yeah.
Congrats!
This is the sweetest thing ever!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations!
I have no marriage advice - sorry.
:)
ReplyDeleteThat's cute, even if I personally prefer the nerves and awkwardness of a good ol' fashioned face-to-face proposal.
All the best.
Congrats! I am so excited for you two! It is going to be great. Marriage advice? Remember to love each other and always have fun together - 12 years on and we still do that. Congrats again!
ReplyDeleteCONGRATULATIONS!!!!!
ReplyDeleteI am not married, nor am I a relationship expert, yet, I know one thing: never ever lose the respect you have for one another.
I love you both
this is the sweetest thing ever
Woo hoo! This is awesome! Congrats! Wishing you both a lifetime of love and happiness.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations!
ReplyDeleteI'm rubbish at marriage advice, but I do have two bits of wedding advice :
From my pastor - the ring will not go on during the ceremony. You'll be so hot and excited, the ring will only go down to your knuckle. Anticipate this, smile at one another, and just carry on with the service.
From my mother - something on the Big Day WILL go wrong, but whatever it is you'll most likely still get married. Don't make too big a deal about it, just expect it, and enjoy your day.
Woo hoo!!! Congrats all around :)
ReplyDeleteThis sets the bar pretty high for any future blogger proposals. Congratulations :}
ReplyDeleteCrying with goosebumps. I wish the two of you a wonderful life!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations to you both! Just be each other's best friend and you can't go wrong. Many blessings of happiness and love!!!
ReplyDeleteAwww...amazing that The Bloggess could have gotten me to a site that made me cry sincere tears. Best best best wishes and happiness always.
ReplyDeleteOkay, I'm ready for wedding cake now.
ReplyDeleteI wish I had been in on the secret, but I can tell you that reading through all of these posts today put me RIGHT THERE. I love this. This is the sweetest, most clever proposal I've ever heard of! Leave it to David!
ReplyDeleteI don't know you Darcy, but you must be a beautiful, kind, fun person. You have yourself quite a catch.
Marriage advice? You don't want any of that from me! So maybe I should say to listen only to those people who seem to be doing it right. Ignore the rest of us. ; )
Good luck!
Well, at least I know what happened last night just before 7pm when the whole planet seemed to tip and wobble for a moment - the entire blogosphere was in here waiting for your answer! Sorry I missed the angst ridden wait, but I loved reading about it afterwards - thanks Auds for linking me here - congrats Mommy Pie and That Boy!!!
ReplyDeleteCONGRATULATIONS!
ReplyDeleteThis restores my faith in love!
Best wishes :)
Congrats Mommy Pie and The Boy! I shall enjoy getting to know you better. Thanks, Auds for linking me here.
ReplyDeleteMarriage advice - make time for each other. Life, family, children and personal ambitions are wonderful. Just make sure you take the time for just the two of you together, this will ensure that though you grow and change, you're still somewhere on the same page.
I'm going to follow everyone's advise here, too. My wedding is only a few months away!
Gorgeous! Congrats to you both and many blessings on a lifetime of happiness together. Reading this made my day. :)
ReplyDeletewow. what fun! even though I'm all late to the party. cheers to ya. (will be back later with my post)
ReplyDeleteI didn't even read it all in realtime...
ReplyDeleteand I'm still crying in my cube.
adorable.
I'm late, but this is the best thing EVER! I wish I had a webcame on my face when I saw this was for MommyPie!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great day!!
Congratulations to you both.
My advice: Remember to have FUN!
People say never go to bed angry. I say that is the best place to be when you are angry, that way you're already in bed for the make up sex.
ReplyDeleteDaaaang, that rawks! Nice going, Dave. You two will be a mischievous pair for sure. Look out, Web 3.0!!!
ReplyDeleteHuge congrats, Mommypie. Those of us loyal readers had a hunch a long time ago. So happy for you three!
Totally nerdy and adorable! Congrats!
ReplyDeleteCongrats to you both .. this is just awesome!
ReplyDeleteTHANK YOU MOMMYPIE FOR SAYING YES! I LOVE YOU MADLY. I CAN'T WAIT TO SPEND THE REST OF MY LIFE WITH YOU. (or at least the next 50 or 60 years)
ReplyDeleteBut also thank you to The Glamorous Life! I could never have pulled this off with my very bestest partner in crime! Thank you for being so patient with me. Thank you for bringing so many good ideas to the table! Especially the idea that I propose to Mommypie on your blog. You're a genius.
Thanks to all of you who posted a blog and linked it here. I never imagined it would grow this big! I can't wait to read them all!
Wow! I'm engaged.
CONGRATULATIONS!!!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great story to tell your kids and grandkids someday!
My advice is- Go to bed mad! What is SOOOO upsetting when your tired after a long day, might not mean so much after some sleep and your morning coffee.
back with "my story" - cheers, mazel tov and all the best to mommypie, little mommypie and The Boy... now you must tell... how did you meet, how did it all come to be, etc. etc. inquiring minds. (and no patience to dig through archives) much love in as much as strangers in cyberspace can love (hmm, but not in a creepy way) oh never mind. best to you and thanks for making me smile.

WOW - coolest thing ever!!
ReplyDeleteCONGRATS!!!!!
This is the coolest thing ever! Congrats.
ReplyDeleteMy advice is counting to 10. Think about what you say before you say it. It might not come out the way you want it to. We have been married 20 years and try to kiss each other good-bye and hello each day before and after work.
Awesome. I'm quite sure this will go down as the "creativest" proposal ever... at least this year.
ReplyDeleteCongrats to you both!!
I came here via The Bloggess....Congrats! As is my usual custom, I'm listening to I-Tunes while blog-reading. What's playing right now? Jason Mraz "I'm Yours"...how very appropriate!
ReplyDeleteThis is so sweet! I came over to find out what people were talking about and now I'm all mushy and sniffly.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations to the both of you.
This is officially the cutest thing I've ever seen on the interwebz. Seriously. I melted.
ReplyDeleteMy marriage advice: Take a weekend away, once a season (meaning, once every three months). Just one night away is enough time to reconnect. And sleep.
Enjoy! AND CONGRATS!
I just stumbled on this today, and boy did I need it - A big dose of real romanticism!! Soulmates still do exist!! Thank you for reinstilling my faith in this rough life of ours. Congratulations! What a wonderful wonderful proposal. If you know of where I can also find a Single-Mommy-Loving-Prince-Charming, give me a holler. Shouldn't you have been kneeling in the photo? (great pic, by the way) Thanks for making me happy.
ReplyDeleteawesome.
ReplyDeletetimes infinity.
holy holy freakin' cow!
ReplyDeleteYayayayayayayayayayay!!!
Thanks Dave and MommyPie for letting us all follow along...best wishes- although it sure doesn't seem like you'll need it :)

ReplyDeleteHOW AWESOME!
(and what a hunk)
Way to go hunk, for snatching up Mommy Pie. We love her!
THAT was awesome!! Congratulations to both of you!
ReplyDeleteSO freaking awesome. :)
ReplyDeleteMy advice? Tell her every single day that she's absolutely gorgeous. Tell her that she's a fabulous mother. Tell her that you cannot, will not, live without her. Ever. (And mean it. All of it.)
I have no advice, just love and best wishes. Now I'm not gonna be the only "Former Single Mommy". :) This is beautiful and warms my heart. It's a beautiful life. Congrats sweetie.
ReplyDeleteI still can't believe this. I'm so happy for you two.
ReplyDeleteThe single moms are dropping like flies. But in this case, it's a VERY good thing. And The Boy - total stud!
Nice work Mommy Pie. ; )
Can I call him Mr. Pie now?
Advice for life:
ReplyDeleteF*ck'em if they can't take a joke.
This applies to weddings, parenting, and most professional situations.
:)
This made my entire day. Congratulations both of you!
ReplyDeleteWHERE'S THE RING? YOU CANNOT POST A PICTURE OF YOURSELF WITHOUT SHOWING A RING!
ReplyDeleteOH, IT'S UNDER THE LAUNDRY! I GOT SO EXCITED I DIDN'T READ THE END! YAY! YOU ARE ROMANTIC!
